On-site packaging
On-site packaging is used when the task involves large, heavy objects that cannot be broken down into further elements and are difficult to move. On-site packaging is an extremely complex part of our job, which requires particular organisation and attention on our part. We entrust this type of order to our most qualified professionals, as we know that unexpected situations can arise during on-site packaging.
What is the schedule?
- We always go to the site before the work starts, for a survey, in our case, of the items to be packed.
- Then the planning can begin. We then retreat and plan the packaging and the complete packaging strategy based on what we have seen. This thorough preparation is necessary to ensure that when we get out in the field we are not caught by surprise and everything goes according to plan.
- Once we are back on site, the actual packaging takes place.
We provide complex solutions
We usually provide complex solutions for our partners, so commissioning and sorting is often part of the packaging preparation.
That said, our work does not typically end with packaging. We also help the process by preparing the products for transport or even loading them. If required, we can also organise and carry out the entire transport ourselves.
Long-term relocation
During on-site packaging, it is not uncommon to be on site for extended periods of time. We have been stationed at a site for up to a month. To ensure that we can do our job with the utmost precision, we set up a service unit at the site. This consists of installing containers in which we set up service units, warehouses and offices, ensuring that administration is also kept up to date.
We entrust the work to the best professionals
On-site packing requires a huge amount of expertise, as you can’t just routinely jump over every unexpected hurdle. In fact, even with the best preparation, unexpected situations may arise during the packaging process that require an immediate solution. Often, changes have to be made on the fly or major decisions have to be taken. That’s why we entrust such tasks to our most skilled staff, who have years of experience in on-site operations. Of course, if a change needs to be made, it is always discussed with the client and the final decision is always theirs.
